Physician Credentialing Specialists - Credential Specialist
United Staffing Solutions, a leader in staffing, is representing a prestigious medical group seeking experienced Credential Specialists. This is a temporary assignment starting 11/13/23 until 2/10/24 with the possibility for extension.
The schedule is Monday-Fridayduring the day (likely 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm, must be flexible). The position is located conveniently in Morristown, NJ. Pay rate is $32-$34/hr depending on experience.
Responsibilities for the Credential Specialist:
- Enforcing regulatory compliance and quality assurance
- Preparing and maintaining reports of credentialing activities such as accreditation, membership or facility privileges
- Ensuring that all information meets legal, federal and state guidelines when processing applications
- Carrying out various credentialing processes in relation to physicians and allied health practitioners
- Processing applications for initial applicants as well as reappointments (approximately 125-200 quarterly)
- Collecting and processing significant amounts of verification and accreditation information
- Setting up, maintaining, and updating accurate information in the Echo database (includes education, training, experience, licensure)
- Preparing material for Credentials Committee meeting, MEC as well as Board of Trustees meeting
- Ensuring compliance with the Bylaws at each location as it pertains to the credentialing process
- Scheduling, and on occasion attending and taking minutes for site based medical staff department meetings
- Processing and collecting dues for the site based medical staff
- Compiling and maintaining current and accurate data for all providers
- Setting up and maintaining provider information in online credentialing database
- Tracking license and certification expirations for all providers
- Maintaining confidentiality of provider information
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Knowledge of the credentialing process required
- Experience with credentialing Physicians
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to research and analyze data
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent computer skills
- Must be vaccinated for COVID-19
- Must be willing to take the flu shot
