We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to join a healthcare team for a correctional facility in Coxsackie, NY. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and demonstrate proficiency in medication administration.

Pay: $50/hr with weekly pay

Shifts: 2:45 pm-11:15 pm OR 10:45 pm-7:15 am (30-min meal break)

Responsibilities of the Correctional Registered Nurse

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of patients.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments.
• Provide ostomy care and support for patients with specific health needs.
• Implement pain management strategies tailored to individual patient requirements.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions and treatment options.
• Assist in memory care for patients experiencing cognitive challenges.
• Stay updated on medical terminology and best practices in nursing care.
• Participate in esthetic laser treatment procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

• Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and nursing practices.
• Experience in inpatient care settings preferred; travel nursing experience is a plus.
• Proficient in medication administration and pain management techniques.
• Familiarity with ostomy care and health coaching principles.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
