Correctional Nurse - Med/Surg

Location: East Elmhurst, NY 11370
Pay Rate: $72 per hour with weekly pay
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract

Position Summary:
We are seeking experienced Med-Surg Registered Nurses to join a great team in a correctional facility. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality medical care in a secure and structured environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to inmates in a correctional medical unit
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a variety of medical-surgical conditions
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to ensure continuity of care
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with facility protocols and procedures

• Valid NYS RN license
• Minimum of 1 year Med-Surg nursing experience (corrections experience preferred)
• BLS certification required
• Ability to work effectively in a correctional environment
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
