Administrative Assistant - School Administrative Assistant - Temp to Perm
United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the staffing industry is representing a well-established, private, special education K-12 school located in Roosevelt Island. They pride themselves on helping their students achieve success by supporting each child’s learning style. It is a year-round program. The position starts on a temporary basis and has the possibility of becoming permanent if it’s the right fit.
The schedule is Monday, Thursday, Friday 7:55am-2:40pm, Tuesday 7:55am-3:30pm and Wednesday 7:55am-4pm. The pay rate is $22-$26/hour depending on experience
Responsibilities for the Administrative Assistant:
- Scheduling appointments and answering phones
- Greeting and assisting visitors
- Coordinating staff meetings
- Responding to emails
- Ordering office supplies
- Maintaining files
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- At least 1-3 years of experience working in an office setting performing administrative duties
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prior experience working in an academic setting is a plus, not a must
