Job Description
United Staffing Solutions is seeking a motivated Industrial Shop Supervisor for one of our clients, a shipping container modification and fabrication shop in Newark, NJ.
This individual will play a key role in overseeing workflow and processes, managing employees, and ensuring efficiency in day-to-day operations. Ideal candidates will have prior construction and/or industrial shop experience.
Pay: $25-27/hr DOE
Schedule: Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm plus OT as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in supervising shop employees and daily operations
- Oversee workflow and ensure process efficiency
- Support material transport from the warehouse
- Inspect deliveries to ensure quality and accuracy
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Job Requirements
- Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or shop environment
- Valid Drivers License
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced setting
- Forklift experience required (Valid license preferred)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
