United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the healthcare staffing industry, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join a healthcare team in Manhattan. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting, including urgent care and emergency medicine environments.

Pay: $25/hr with weekly pay

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9 am-5 pm

Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant:

• Assist with patient intake, including obtaining medical histories and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Perform basic life support procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical standards.
• Support medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and processing insurance information.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
• Assist in the preparation of patients for surgical procedures in the OR when required.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with medical terminology and practices relevant to urgent care and trauma settings.

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, particularly related to outpatient services, emergency medicine, and trauma care is highly desirable.
• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or similar environment is a plus.
• Basic life support certification is required; additional certifications related to patient care are advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
